Rabbi Poupko was born in Pittsburgh, educated in New York and Jerusalem. He was ordained by the late great Moshe Finestein with blessed memory. Served as Rabbi at Beth Israel Beth Aaron Congregation since 1986. Serves on a variety of local and national Jewish boards and executives. As of now, Rabbi Poupko chairs the National Israel Experience Center. He has served as the chair of the March of the living for Montreal on several occasions and this year was the national Rabbi for the March of the Living. In addition, he serves on the executive committee of the Canadian Jewish congress of the Quebec region, and on the executive of the Canadian Zionist federation and is a past President of the Montreal Board of Rabbi's. He is also the father of 5 children. |

Moishe Shur was born and raised in Montreal where he received his early training from his father an accomplished Baal Tefiloh. At the early age of13, Moishe began conducting High Holiday services throughout North America. In 1984, Moishe was appointed Cantor at the Jewish Center of North Orange County , California. In 1988, he established the first Shul in Pacific Palisades, California. Moishe trained extensively in the art of Bel Canto with the late Latvian tenor, Victor Shatkin. In 1992 Moishe was appointed Cantor at the Etz Jacob Congregation in L.A. where he served until 1995, returning with his family to Montreal serving as Cantor of Beth Israel Beth Aaron Congregation. Moishe possesses a pure tenor voice of vast range, resonance and agility, endearing himself to his congregation with his weekly concerts at the amud, combining Chazanut and Nigun. Moishe also appeared at many city-wide functions and on the concert stage for select engagements. Moishe and his wife Rochel are the proud parents of seven children K.A.H. |

Cantor Benyamin Stiefel Cantor Benyamin Stiefel was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he studied voice, cantorial and piano. After high school he attended the Lubavitch Yeshiva in New York and Montreal. He is an ordained Rabbi, Shochet and Sofer. In New York he continued his cantorial training with Cantor Moshe Teleshevsky. In Montreal, he studied under Cantor Tzvi Halpern and Professor Bernard Diamant. During his studies in Yeshiva, he served as Cantor for the Holidays in the Orthodox Congregation in Duluth, Minnesota. In 1971 he was appointed Cantor of Congregation Beth Jacob of Atlanta, Ga. While there, he continued voice training with professor Peter Harrower. In 1984 Cantor Stiefel was appointed Chazan Sheini at the Beth Israel Beth Aaron Congregation, where he also frequently conducted the services on Shabbos and Holidays. In Montreal he has continued his voice and cantorial training with world famous Cantor David Bagley. Cantor Stiefel has also been an educator in Jewish day schools for the past 34 years and is staff member at Hebrew Foundation School in DDO since 1984. |
